ח CHET
CHET The letter ח Chet has a 'ch' sound coming from the back of the throat like the word 'loch'. With a Gemartia of 8 it is associated with going beyond seven, symbolising man's ability to transcend physical existence. The number 8 figures in many places such as circumcision on the eight day, eight threads of the tzitzis, Shemini Atzeres, the Eight Day following Sukkot and in Yeshua being raised on the eight day, the day after the Sabbath.
In Paleo Hebrew it's pictogram is a fence that separates and protects. Imagine a Torah scroll rolled out to form a circle with the two handles forming a gate. The only way to get into it is to study the Torah until we find the entrance where Yeshua is the gate. This makes me think of the Tabernacle in the Wilderness. The Heart of God is the Torah, which is His Ketubah, a Marriage Covenant with Israel and His Love Letter. Since the first letter of the Torah is a ב beit and the last letter a ל lamed which gives the word לב Lev meaning heart. The two Tablets were kept in the Ark of the Testimony in the Holy of Holies at the centre of the Tabernacle. Like the rib cage protects the heart/lungs.
Some Examples of Hebrew words beginning with ח chet are given below. ח ן chen meaning grace which protects us from sin,
ח י chay – life, 'is made from 3 *(ו vav )6=18 body, soul and spirit,
ח יה chayah – beast = satan who tries to take lifeח טא chet – to miss the mark of Torah is sin.
You may wonder how apparently different words can be related to one another?
